Bill,
VOA Poro 1143 is rare here. Here is a list of the Filipino QSLs:
540 khz DYRB Cebu City 10 KW
558 khz DZXL Metro Manila 25 KW
576 khz DYIM Cebu City 10 KW
594 khz DZBB Metro Manila 20 KW
612 khz DYHP Cebu City 10 KW
630 khz DZMM Metro Manila 50 KW
666 khz DZRH Metro Manila 50 KW
666 khz DXRP Davao City 10 KW
720 khz DYOK Iloilo City 5 KW
801 khz DZNC Cauayan 10 KW
828 khz DXCC Cagayan De Oro 10 KW
837 khz DYFM Iloilo City 5 KW
837 khz DXGE Gen. Santos C. 5 KW
846 khz DZNN Metro Manila 50 KW
981 khz DYBQ Iloilo City 10 KW
1017 khz DYRP Iloilo City 5 KW
1062 khz DZEC Metro Manila 50 KW
1125 khz DXGM Davao City 5 KW
1125 khz DWAS Legaspi City 5 KW
1143 khz VOA Poro 1000 KW
1161 khz DXDS Davao City 1 KW
1206 khz DXRS Surigao City 1 KW
1296 khz DXAB Davao City 10 KW
1503 khz DYBB Roxas City 10 KW
Most of the stations I hear are through the South and center like Davao,
Iloilo, or Cebu. Infact early on Metro Manila was almost impossible. Now
DXEC 1062 is the most common station I hear. Only one QSL in from the
North, (DZNC 801) as that area is even more rare to hear. I have been
hoping to catch one of the rare areas like Tawi Tawi.
My first Filipino was DXCC Cagayan De Oro, Mindanao 828 khz in 1980.
They were very common in the early 80s. Now I rarely hear them.
Filipinos are some of my favorite DX.

Patrick
