Charlie,
The 795 comes with proprietary software which I got used to.  You can rename
files, convert to WAV, MP3, etc.  It gives you the option to update
firmware, but that update converts to Windoz Media Play which is not as
versatile as the Iriver.  The T30 does not have the propietary software;
it's Windoz all the way.  I'm sending a PM as well.
