You may get better answers than mine but I ground the end near the receiver
so it won't pick up noise and the other end hooked to the antenna isnot
connected to anything and sealed so moisture, water, etc. can't get in.
There was a good article in Popular Communications last month (I think)
about ways to seal coax.
