As a Tech you are a little bit limited, but it sounds
like a General ticket is right around the corner. Ham
radio is just like "listening for DX". There are
3,845,662 paths you can follow. Poke around and see
what looks interesting and give "whatever" a try.
I've been messing with this since Tesla and I would go
out for beers together and I'm still finding new
things to pursue.
