[IRCA] AM x-band Utilities and Traveller Information Stations

Thank you, all of you who have responded to my query
re Cuban and U.S. mysteries. Cleaning up my logs
before the year ends, and I'm currently sorting
through the many replies. Here's one more, with a tiny
handful of Latins to follow... any answers or ideas
are greatly appreciated. - Saul / Toronto


AM-band Utilities and Traveller Information Stations:

1609 OH Cincinnati ? There used to be a voice TIS
here, before the expanded band came along. Does anyone
have any record of calls? I remember it possibly being
airport-related. Probably heard in the 1980s.

1622-5 SNN DC Washington ? I have this in my log and
memory tells me it was some kind of news service, or
pirate mimicking a news service. Probably 1980s.

1630 CHYW ON Ottawa ? Is this Ottawa International
Airport TIS still on the air?

1630 ASHC ? These calls, or something like them, heard
many years ago in morse code, and never solved.
Probably 1980s or early 90s.

1630-40 VWTA ? Thought I heard calls in an ID here way
before the expanded band. Probably 1980s or early 90s.

1700 MD Cambridge ? Blackwater National Wildlife
Refuge TIS heard a few years ago. Not listed in FCC
database. Anyone know calls or other info?
