I vaguely remember asking the then-chief of the local on 550 to shut off for a "test" during the WDEV event.  I didn't keep notes, but I believe morse code was used and I heard it weakly under the local.

Any idea who the CE of WDEV was at the time?  It may be that the person is still around and would remember it.

I'd be happy to email the WDEV manager and let him know what I remember.  Since I'm in the industry, and have the current RI 550 station as a client, it might carry a little weight.
