Re: [IRCA] QSL COMMENT

Messages of support are always welcome, and I'm grateful for them. I should
always state the vast majority of DX'ers are very supportive, kind, and
respectful of both the stations, and of the work done to arrange for tests.

Even those who complain usually do so with no malice or ill will intended.

For the record, we always start off asking for a "best case" scenario. That
being
a full power test, with plenty of advance notice, and with the station
handling
QSL requests directly. We usually settle for less.

My feeling has always been that any test is better than no test, and that we
should
be grateful for any. Complaints, even well meaning ones, often have the
effect
of making all of us seem ungrateful for tests.

You wouldn't believe the comments that I've gotten when last minute changes
to
tests have occurred, or when QSL's have been late or not coming at all.

Let's all try to remember that broadcasters owe their distant listeners
nothing at
all, and that any test or QSL is a gift.
