[IRCA] CJCD 1240 History... possible Podcast

While on coffee-related business in Vancouver,
discovered that the owner of espressotec.com
(one of Canada's largest online vendors of coffee stuff...),
Reg James was one of the creators of Yellowknifes first
independant AM radio stations - CJCD AM 1240 -
which went on the air in 1979.

Reg provided me with a thick file of original
documents, CRTC applications, scripts for the first
broadcasts, rate sheets, stats etc and newpaper clippings.

It was a totally unexpected goldmine!

Hopefully will be cooking up a LONG Podcast
about the very earliest days of CJCD AM in the
rugged wilderness of the North West Territories (Canada)
