Poor for TPs this morning, with strong domestic splatter. Perhaps as a
result, IBOC hiss was much stronger than noted in the past. Or maybe
everyone got together and decided Monday morning was IBOC day? Phooey. Top
of the band was better for TPs, then the dawn enhancement added the stronger
JJs down lower around 1345 on. But IBOC became stronger then, covering up
some--this has not been noted before except on 738 yesterday. 1566 weak at
1338 utc along with 1575. 1593 had a strong het, close to audio at the same
time. 828 produced audio at 1344 utc, 738 now had IBOC hiss at 1346 utc. 774
audio at utc (810 IBOC hiss. 828 now had IBOC hiss at 1354 utc, with
occasional JJ audio coming thru. 936 with strong IBOC hiss at 1356 utc. 963
strong IBOC hiss, 1395-1413 IBOC hiss, 747 weak IBOC hiss, 720 medium IBOC
hiss. All this noted in LSB mode. Switching to 10kHz tuning, IBOC hiss noted
in lots of places this morning from 1400-1415 utc. Phooey.
