This open carrier on 1540 loops about right for Wilson, North
Carolina, or about the same as WLLY-1530 in Chapel Hill, North
Carolina.
It seems to get gradually stronger as I head west.
I note that the carrier read S7 on my R8B at 1100 EDT, while now it
reads about S9+10 dB,
as though testing at different power levels.
There is the problem of interference ratios with WCLY-1550 Raleigh, so
perhaps it is
south of Goldsboro, North Carolina.
But that would interfere with WTXY-1540 Whiteville, North Carolina.
If on the inverse bearing, it have a problem with interference with
WOBX-1530 Wanchese, North Carolina.
This gets more interesting.
