Re: [IRCA] TP Fri morning

I did things a little different this morning. Normally I start on LW and work up. By the time I get over 1100 kHz, it's past dawn and things are on the downslide. Today I began at the top end and worked down. Hence plenty of audios on frequencies I don't normally hear anything. I really enjoyed 1206. I have some good audio on mp3. I had trouble identifying the language, but perhaps it was just me. Signal at times approached an 8+/10. Things were quite variable, I have to agree....things faded up and down a lot. On many frequencies there was such a jumble (just like what Patrick hears on the Oregon coast) that it was impossible to make anything out, especially adding several SAH's. 1575 VOA Thailand was very nice as was 1566 HLAZ at 13:15 or so.
Being at the hospital awaiting a delivery, I don't have the list of what I heard. All I can say is that it was a very satisfying morning, and much better than yesterday's. Funny how some of the other regulars report worse conditions than yesterday. Go figure!........Walt Salmaniw, Victoria, BC
