I've been AM DXing since the beginning of 1998 (all from the same location in 
Ottawa ON), so I missed out on the glory years of silent periods and the 
like.  Due to space restrictions, I also haven't used anything bigger than a 
66 ft dipole for an antenna.  My log shows a total of 1532 US stations in 47 
states plus DC, 171 Canadian stations in 10 provinces, and 298 stations in 58 
other countries (that only adds up to 2001 stations, so it seems I've missed 
a few in this breakdown).  For the record, I don't count callsign changes in 
my totals.  I also don't collect veries, but I have a pretty big collection 
of recordings!
