Re: [IRCA] A very good morning for TPs

Don,

Always remember that when you're out amongst the unknowns late at night, they could always be just as concerned about you. Paranoia strikes deep!!! Laugh uproariously...take a swing at a non-existent object...they'll keep their distance. Not being near as fast on foot as I used to be, I tend to be close to my car just in case the true freaks come out of hiding.

Back in July when we had that really bad hot streak, I roamed every coastside street from San Francisco down to Pacifica. The area near Mussel Rock where the houses fell into the ocean offer some nice parking for DXing now that the streets are all dead ends. Right on the coast and you're not far away from your car. Pacifica beaches are good too if you're well insulated.

  Mike

  Hi Willis,

lst off....don't forget to make your football picks :-)

In 1965 I was in West Sacramento, having left S.F. for there in 1963. Came back to S.F. in 1973.

I'm using an indoor antenna. Kiwi Aircore Loop. As you say, little room for outdoor antennas in this area.

We live in a middle class residential area about 15 blocks from Ocean Beach & Pt. Lobos. We are probably a mile away from both the Presidio and the on-ramp for the G.G. Bridge. 2 blocks from
Golden Gate Park. 5 miles from downtown (not far enough, now that I'm retired). I could (like Mike Hawkins) take a portable and go camp out on some deserted area overlooking the ocean but I
quickly dismiss this idea when I remember how many total creeps there are wandering the streets (and especially deserted areas) in this city. It could be worse, like in Oakland, Richmond or
Los Angeles. So I put up with the noise.
