You can also buy longer lengths off eBay.  I saw a 3000' roll of #14 or #16
hookup wire not too long ago.  Prices are usually better than Home Depot.
Hookup wire is often rated for only 150v rather than the 600v of THHN wire.
Since it can't legally be used for AC wiring, it's somewhat cheaper.  Works
fine for antennas, of course.

One of these days I want to buy a length of #14 and an equivalent length of
#26.  The idea is to do a daytime test.  Lay out the #14, and do a bandscan
recording S-Meter readings.  Then pull it in and do the same with the #26 in
the same spot.  I've often wondered just how much effect the smaller gauge
loss really is.
