Still the familiar pattern here for me..... Asians early and through
most of dawn enhancement and a few DUs late just before the band
fades. Overall, though, it was a much better morning than the last
few days. Had at least hets on almost every channel below 1400, with
quite a lot of audio, some very listenable. Things seemed to favor
the Koreas and North China more so than Japan. Late DUs in audio were
612, 675 and possibly 1503. 702 was also likely Sydney and it was
on-channel this AM.
The most interesting Asians in audio were 656.99 Pyongyang; 693 Tokyo
rare here because of slop from the 690 flamethrower in nearby
Vancouver; 738, likely South Korea; 756 South Korea phone-in program;
855.05 North Korea; 873 not NHK but rather western-style opera...
probable R. Rossii from Khaborovsk; 963, Russian Service from China
at arm-chair level; 1386, Asian pops late in enhancement.... not
JJ... probable S.Korea, though could be Chinese and 1575 VOA Thailand
in near arm-chair copy for a while, with ID.
Other off-channel stations noted were 1016.95, 1025.95, 1107.07, 1701.03.
Gee, its nice to have a good morning! I'll be watching 1386 and 873!
John B.
