Scott,
You are lucky as you don't have to deal with crummy dial up all of the
time as I do! Tonight I was trying to download some large e mails, but
the dial up was 19.2. The norm here is 26.4. I never had any luck.
Living out in the country does have its downs. No DSL available out
here. I don't have cable. So my only choice other than dial up would be
expensive satellite internet. One night I connected (I kid you not) at
2400 baud. That was a few weeks ago. With Clatsop Plains having about
300 people, I don't think things will change too soon either. Fiber
optics is something we never will see, not in my lifetime.
