John,
620 and 860 will simulcast for a few months starting in January, according 
to KTAR's general manager. After that, it's supposedly unknown.
But realistically, it has a horrible signal, and I seem to remember that 
the tower site will be sold soon, requiring a move an upgrade, a sale or 
shutdown.
An upgrade would be costly, probably with poor coverage in the west 
valley.
Plus KTAR is one of Arizona's most prestigious AMs, along with KFYI. I 
can't imagine Clear Channel just letting this happen without moving 
550-KFYI to FM to keep the playing field level.
That would leave only second-tier stations on AM, so the 860 wouldn't be 
very attractive to a new buyer.
