Your right.... Perseid meteor shower is about due.  Of course, I usually go at that from a visual perspective.

 

I wonder if the contest dollars are presented like the huge million dollar checks? (along with the YL  holding it of course)  Anyways, I project myself anywhere between 5th and 15th in the contest depending on if we have that many entered. Hmmm.  Joking aside, I might have taken a siesta during the last contest,  but the one prior was responsible for helping me to log a bunch of stations I probably wouldn't have otherwise.

Since May, I've logged 53 new FM's... most of them at least 600 miles away.  Now its meteor scatter time for the next 10 days, then it will likely be time for AM again.  I'm probably not gonna have a chance on the contest this year unless the midwest starts to have receiving conditions like the west does.  We'll see...
