A real mess on this channel this morning. From 1130UTC, just
carriers, hard to get a bearing, but seemed to be mostly Korea as it
was better on the northerly Flag. The bearing started to turn down
under just after 1200, no readable audio until about 1215, when
Aussie English heard weakly. Looked at the carriers with Spectran,
and there were four of them, two quite weak, and better on the
westerly Flag, so likely DU, though the two listed in the PAL look
decidedly unlikely!
But at 1230UT, the Korean shifted its pattern, and a weak but clear
"HLAZ" ID heard.
It's odd that (tentative) 3NE-1566 has been heard quite a bit more
often than even a carrier on 1548, where 50 kw 4QD is
listed. Admittedly, 1566 has a lot less splatter on it here than 1548...
best wishes,
Nick
