Hi Bill -
In addition to FRG-100, DX-394's, -398's, etc. here there's always at least one R-388 and R-390 up. Some have camped on same freq for twenty or more years excepting for routine alignments. They do what they were designed to do. They do it well, ask little in exchange.
They were designed and built during an all-or-nothing life/death era when things had to work well at all times. Lives hung in balance.
