Of course they pay no attention to DXers. Why would anyone think a few
thousand hobbyists make a difference about anything?

But they do pay attention to things that generate a lot of media coverage
and provoke comments from the general public. The media ownership issue got
pretty big time, and the fact that they are re-looking at the issue means
they were forced to by the sheer volume of feedback. If you care, you might
as well add another drop to the feedback stream and look for ways to join up
with others.
