Re: [IRCA] [NRC-AM] IBOC Redux

What these corporate eggheads (and they truly are scrambled EGGHEADS) is
that the severe adjacent channel digital hiss from widespread IBOC skip will
absolutely destroy any weakish first adjacents with hash from both sides and
this is for those with DX worthy rx's.

For the masses who listen to AM on cheap portables and what, in general is
decreasing quality on AM, car rx's, even 2nd adjacents will be badly beaten
up by a malange of digital hash and often from more than one station and a
combo of first and second adjacents.

Do these execs really think that the masses will buy digital AM sets, and
actually will prefer to listen to even a strong local digitally for mx, when
they'll have numerous wonderfully sounding digital FMers ?

I can just wait for an enormous class action lawsuit from most of our
nation's small stations once night IBOC is approved. Opps..need a mention
the QRM to Canadians and Mexicans.

I am simply amazed that the chumps at the FCC, can be so snowed and don't
understand what IBOC does to adjacents.
