[IRCA] Night pattern and dead carriers

Usually the only time you would have to do these measurements with a dead
carrier would be
if there is excessive carrier shift or if the field is so low that there is
interference from another
source.  Then, the audio has to be cut only during the seconds you actually
record the reading.
I have done many proofs and have not had to do the measurements with no
audio.  I use the
audio to make sure that I am, indeed, listening to the correct station.
They may have cut the
audio for a long period of time if there was no one at the station to kill
audio or if they had no
communication with the studio, i.e. cell phone dead spot.
