Tuning off frequency helps sometimes and narrowing the bandwidth also
helps, plus going to upper or lower sideband, but so far 610 has been
really a toughie. Maybe because both KPOJ and KONA are nearly the same
direction. I am sure the KPOJ has does not QRM KONA in their market in
NE Oregon, as they are 200 miles apart, but you sure notice it here.
The QRM from the KPOJ IBOC source is much worse than KEX. On the car
radio here on the coast I note the 610 & 630 hash, as with 1190, 1180 &
1200 is hardly noticeable, if at all on the car radio. And KEX is
running more power being 50 KW (5 KW IBOC at most), KPOJ 25 KW (2.5 KW
IBOC at the most).
