[IRCA] Art Cronk & PV Zecchino walk re Censorship; 16 1322Z MAY 06; PVZ

Here's www.sun-herald.com article of Friday 12 May, 06. My detailed www.etherzone.com article ran Friday as well. Station ordered Cronk to promote 'good side of illegal immigration' & 'stop playing g-d Mexican Music'. Real story: reports say station folded to local biz who employs illegals. Biz wouldn't state case 'for illegals' publicly. Biz demanded discount ads to soothe 'offended' sensibilities - and Cronk's dismissal.  Mgmt folded like a cheap camera.

Mil-Spec Comm's occasionally provides air talent - the undersigned. Station compensates Mil-Spec. In turn Mil-Spec pays undersigned what I'm worth - nothing.  Mil-Spec promotes creativity and opposes censorship. Mil-Spec will not be party to mistreatment. Longstanding policies made decision to back away simple. No other choice.
 
 KFI 640 interviewing Cronk at 2000P tonight. Any willing to tape? He'd be delighted. As popular as was his twenty year run on radio, community yet more appreciative for his selfless work with disabled vets.
 
Station lost community credibility. By way of apology, mgmt yesterday declared: 'Yeah, he's done a lot of work with vets. He can return but not as a Mexican disc jockey'.
 
If a few seconds of 'g-d Mexican music' as intro to topic makes one a DJ, does that make Limbaugh the 'Clarence Frogman Henry DJ' for 'Ain't Got No Home' intro on Homeless updates?  Management originally told press 'no comment'. Should have remained silent. Hole getting deeper.
 
Cronk didn't have the highest ratings on station - he was the ratings. Caller lines silent.
