are both in their 20's, listen to radio only when that's the only
available choice for music. Otherwise it's CD's, streaming audio, iPods
or for one of them satellite.

Radio doesn't meet their needs and there are competing media which do.
And it's only natural that if radio generally declines in interest, so
will DX'ing.
