Re: [IRCA] 738 Tahiti - Actually DX related

Hi Dennis,
After Bills posting a couple of nights ago, I decided to sit on 738 yesterday morning.  The S/SW signal did peak several times  (1324 UTC in particular) with occasional talk mixed with varying music- better than I expected. I'm aware of the low modulation and was surprised with the audio it did present, particularly this time of morning. I couldn't verify the language this time, although odds were it was Tahiti- which I've heard a couple of times.  2NR would be cool, hi. Had a signal this morning but was too late to hear any peaks.  One day, I have to head out to the coast with my rigs and ants.

Subject: [IRCA] A-K index

Good Morning,

Thanks for explaining the values of the A & K indexs Russ.  At Grayland last Sunday morning Tahiti was heard at 0608 UTC with a fair to weak signal. Audio was very low, music came through ok with a woman talking between selections.  Heard them once here in Vancouver last fall with weak signal, but signal was only around for about 15 minutes.  It's 1042 UTC and no sign of any TP's.
