It is known as magnet wire, and not magnetic
wire, it is fairly soft drawn copper with an enamel
type thin insulation, usually something called formvar,
this allows tightly wound inductors that are insulated.
Example - motor armatures, thus the name.

Generally this insulation is reddish-brown, or green,
and sometimes you can solder the wire without first
stripping the insulation with a chemical wipe. Using
a knife to strip the wire generally results in nicks
that lead to breakage unless you are somewhat
skilled.

I think you will have constant breakage problems,
and wire this thin will be almost imposible to
locate the breakage because of being so hard
to see. It is designed to be wound onto coil forms
which provide support and stability. I'd recommend
something no smaller than #20.

If you can still find a Radio Shack that sells this
type of component, you'll find nothing better than
small bobbins of it, at high prices/foot, and then
you have to join them.

If you can find a hamfest in your area, you'll be able
to find people there that sell wire antenna kits,
and spools of wire for these purposes, or you can
find a distributor for mail order.

In the 1980's I bought a ten-pound spool of #20
for a few dollars at someone's yard sale. Sure
wish I still had it. It was big as a bowling ball.

Been there, done that, got the tee-shirt

Consider using "bell wire" (for 12 volt doorbell
hookups), from Home Depot, unless invisibility
is your mail goal. It is somewhat stronger, but
still lightweight, and has a vinyl insulation..
