I never really thought about LWBC stations when I was
stationed on Okinawa (Japan), 1976-79, but I do recall several
instances of logging Russian language broadcasts, Arabic, and other
UNID languages. Will see if I can find those logs in my
well-organized DX Shack :-[
I do recall the Arabic station, only because I nearly drove
myself crazy trying to ID it. As I recall, reception was usually in
the 1900 to 2000 UTC range (0400-0500 JST) -- or, about 1 to 2 hours
before my local sunrise (0000 UTC = 0900 JST) -- and usually ended
with me hauling xxx in order to get to work on time, hi. Oh yeah,
never did ID the station.
