Re: [IRCA] Tree Down

Well, I joined the Patrick Martin "something down" club on the afternoon of
the 31st...the wooden clothesline post that supported the Flag and the
sloper snapped off at the ground in one of the 90 km/hr gusts.
Interestingly, the #24 insulated wire making up the antennas seems to have
survived. Haven't actually seen this in daylight yet as I got stranded in
Vancouver (BC; sorry, Dennis) last night when the ferries refused to run
due to the wind. It wasn't until tonight that we cleaned up what mess we
could in the dark (i.e. the neighbor's yard no longer contains
antennas). Wondered why the newe Ewe was down also, until I realized that
another neighbor's clothesline post had also snapped off, trashing the Ewe
as it went.

Looks like the weekend will have a bit of a focus.

best wishes,

Nick
