Kevin,

	The Bendix MN-26C is a WW2 surplus "hollow state" radio compass receiver
used in aircraft for navigation.  Original freq range 150-1500 kHz in 3
bands.  By careful readjustment, I retuned Band 3 so it would reach 1600
without losing the overlap with Band 2 at the bottom end.  IF is 112.5
kHz.  Bought it at our local surplus dealer in 1964 for $4.  Heard a lot
of good DX with it during the 1960s.  Works well with loops and longwires
without overload.
