Hi Dennis,I can probably give credit to Dave in Redmond for getting me to think about this as I drew up a "W" list of what I heard since moving here in 1996. I should have posted it first.Anyways, it got me thinking, hi. My list isn't too bad considering. (I guess)... Other stations I suppose I would wonder about would be WCBS, WNBC. Maybe 640 WWLS (Not high power, but I caught this years ago in So. Cal), 1140 WRVA, 670 WSCR- (ex WMAQ)-- Dave had this one in recently thru KBOI, and then WSB 750. Others I should consider????I have WWL marked down at about once per year. It's definitely less common for me than it was even just a few years back. A few of the ones below I've caught fairly recently. WSM, WBBM (local was off), KDKA and WHAM- those in the last month or two.I know what you mean about the good 'ol days. I got a Radio West loop not long after I started DXing in the late 70's and it did well up to a few years ago when I got the Kiwa.73- DougHere's what I've got:650 WSM660 WFAN700 WLW720 WGN760 WJR780 WBBM820 WBAP830 WCCO840 WHAS870 WWL890 WLS1020 KDKA- ok so it's not a "W", hi.1040 WHO1100 WTAM1130 WISN test1180 WHAM1200 WOAI1420 WRCG test1670 WNML- was on 1670_______________________________________________----- Original Message -----From: vroomski@xxxxxxxxxxxSent: Tuesday, January 24, 2006 2:08 AMSubject: [IRCA] WABCDoug,The last time I heard WABC was 01-20-66 at 2:10 AM PST. Furthest US stations from this location have been WLW 700 kHz and WJR 760 kHz. Took me a year to hear WWL New Orleans. The stations heard recently were heard on a 5' loop. If I had only had a EWE antenna and a balum back in the 1960's, instead of a 75' long-wire and zip cord for a lead in. Those were the days, no info-commercials, stations ID many times. Good Luck0Dennis VroomVancouver, WA
