Okay, but...
I've heard WDMG a number of times in recent times... in fact, other than
Reloj, they're the most common station heard under CJBC here at night.
The UNID station I heard last night was way off frequency, at 859.84,
whereas I have never noted WDMG to be significantly off the nominal 860
frequency. So, I conclude that I was hearing a different station. The
Alabama reference could be a red herring, possibly not referring to their
college basketball team, but something else entirely.
The oddball carrier frequency of this station is the key here, so folks
should keep an ear open for that 160 Hz het...
