[IRCA] Quamtum phaser vs MFJ 1026

Greetings;

I received the Quantum Phaser in todays mail. It is a nice looking unit,
much nicer looking that the MFJ 1026.
   I hooked it up and after using the unit for a while, my MFJ 1026 does
a better job. This probably is a shock to some. With the built in preamp
in the 1026, after I end up nulling a pest, there is still plenty of
signal from the weak signal I am trying to hear, to understand it. With
the Quantum, in many cases once I null the pest, the signal I am trying
to hear it too weak to understand. There seems to be too much loss. The
controls on the Quantum are smoother than the MFJ 1026. No doubt about
that, but so far, I get too muck loss using the Quantum. All of my
antennas are with matching transformers and RG6, so I don't see any
mismatch. If there was one, I would also see it with the MFJ. I will try
it again later tonight and then tomorrow. I am a bit disappointed so
far. It might be my set up compared to others. I have no clue, at least
as yet.

Patrick
