A station on 970 is calling itself "the new mighty 9-70... hot hits of the 70s, the 60s, and the 80s" (note the odd order of the decades in the slogan) and playing a pretty good mix of rock oldies.
Methinks this must be Bakersfield, since their usually-dominant news-talk format is nowhere to be found... but I haven't been able to listen at the top of the hour yet.
