Pat,

I won't argue the 1420 & 1480 Washington stations as hard to hear.  I've never had an inkling from 1420 but 1480 I heard once testing on Lincoln's Birthday in 1968 (from Sacramento)........I
was amazed a month ago when I heard KBMS on 1480.  They are hard as well.  Also the Bellingham on 930.
