[IRCA] TP 6 Dec Victoria version.
A better morning than yesterday (not a high bar, admittedly). I think that the big gun signals at least may have been stronger in the hours before sunrise, but by 1445UT, the levels reported below were about the best it was going to be.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):
not quite
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling with splash or noise):
594 JOAK 1517UT
774 JOUB 1517UT
972 HLSA 1542UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:
603 soft vocal music 1538UT, likely HLSA? but no parallel
747 JOIB music box 1541UT
828 JOBB music box 1542UT
945 CNR1 two men in Chinese 1555UT //1593
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)
1098 CNR1 man //945 1556UT
1287 man talking, Japanese intonation 1606UT
1566 woman talking Chinese intonation 1556UT
1575 woman talking, SE Asian language? 1542UT
1593 CNR-1 man //6175 1549UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)
639 702 819 891 1008 1323 seemed to be Asian;
nothing much seemed to be DU
best wishes,
Nick
