All times ELT.
DX LOGGINGS
680 WPTF NC Raleigh - 10/14 2319 - Fair in WSCR-670's digihash with ments of Cary, Apex, and Wake Forest in ad for Habitat For Humanity of Wake County, then ad for Adams and Cheek Dentistry of Raleigh, then back into WPTF's Sunday Night oldies pgm (they played Patti Page's "Tennessee Waltz" a few minutes before this). Confirmed via the KiwiSDR from Raleigh, as I couldn't find a stream for WPTF on either tunein.com, streema.com, or the station's own website. NC #6. (RD-IA)
790 KXXX KS Colby - 10/4 0743 - Fair with ments of "eastern Colorado" and "Nebraska" in wx forecast, then a ment of "Kansas Farm and Ranch Radio" by male announcer in ag-related talk. (RD-IA)
790 WSGW MI Saginaw - 10/4 0234 - Fair to good with ad for Tri-City Health & Wellness Expo on Oct. 6th in Saginaw, then ad for michiganhelpwanted.com, then back into Coast-To-Coast AM. WBBM's IBOC off at the time, which helped. (RD-IA)
940 KVSH NE Valentine - 10/5 0804 - Topping the channel on day power early with ment of "south central South Dakota" in wx forecast. This station is almost a better bet for those needing Nebraska than KXSP-590 or KFAB-1110! (RD-IA)
970 WGTK KY Louisville - 10/6 2205 - Good with "970 AM, The Answer" ID heard during Kentuckiana wx forecast. (RD-IA)
980 CFPL ON London - 10/7 2240 - Weak to fair with ad for Herm's Sports Exchange in London, then "...Global News...CFPL" heard in brief liner before going back to talk pgm. Confirmed via webstream. (RD-IA)
1050 CHUM ON Toronto - 10/4 2217 - Very good with "TSN 1050" ID heard at the end of sports update. (RD-IA)
1080 WOKT KY Cannonsburg - 10/8 2046 - Good and alone on the channel with ID: "Your Music, Your Life, Walk-FM", then into ContChr song "Never Been A Moment" by Micah Tyler. (RD-IA)
1140 KNAB CO Burlington - 10/9 0759 - Good with ID as "Always the best of the new and old...KNAB, Burlington, Colorado, The People's Choice". (RD-IA)
1140 WVHF MI Kentwood - 10/15 0746 - Good with "Morning Glory" pgm via EWTN Radio. Only 2 affiliates on 1140 are currently shown on EWTN's website, and the stream from the other, KGEM in Idaho, was not matching up with what I was hearing. WVHF's stream DID match up, so it was logged as such. This was before LSR in Kentwood, so there's a possibility that WVHF is signing on at Richmond's sunrise time nowadays. MI #16. (RD-IA)
1160 KCTO MO Cleveland - 10/8 2030 - Fair to good with SS music and talk by deep-voiced male. Confirmed via the KiwiSDR from Overland Park, Kansas, on which KCTO was obviously much stronger. (RD-IA)
1200 CFGO ON Ottawa - 10/15 2125 - Weak to fair under WOAI coming out of ad break with liner: "You're listening to Sens hockey...". Confirmed via webstream on streema.com, which was running about a minute behind. (RD-IA)
1240 KLIK MO Jefferson City - 10/12 2126 - Briefly atop with Jefferson City Jays HS FB. (RD-IA)
1270 KGNM MO St. Joseph - 10/5 0751 - Good with ad for surplus store called The Duffel Bag, then announcer: "...57 this morning in St. Joe, Chris Meikel for KGNM...". Heard just minutes after logging WMKT, so I was getting it from both directions this particular morning on 1270. (RD-IA)
1270 WLIK TN Newport - 10/5 2240 - Good with HS FB scoreboard show, ad for hardware store in downtown Newport, then into Eric Clapton's "Lay Down Sally". Confirmed via webstream. (RD-IA)
1270 WQKR TN Portland - 10/4 2230 - Fair with ad for Volunteer Recycling Salvage in Portland, heard a phone # of 615-325-2176, which matches what I found online for them. Local 1270 station WKBF in Rock Island, Illinois, silent since late September, still is as of October 17th -- you can bet I'm cleaning up! (RD-IA)
1350 WIOU IN Kokomo - 10/12 2259 - Good on day power w/St. Vincents Sports Performance HS FB scoreboard show, a local ad, then liner: "This presentation of the WIOU...". (RD-IA)
1400 KLIN NE Lincoln - 10/15 2026 - Briefly atop with ment of "grahamtirelincoln.com" in ad for -- what else? -- Graham Tire, then into sportstalk pgm "Husker Sports Nightly" //KXSP-590. 2nd Nebraska graveyarder in the Davenport logbook, KOMJ-1490, logged last December, was first. (RD-IA)
1450 KIRX MO Kirksville - 10/7 0840 - Briefly atop with ID of "...1450 AM and 99.7 FM, KIRX...". (RD-IA)
1450 KOKO MO Warrensburg - 10/10 2021 - Atop with Sam Cooke's "Havin' A Party" off satellite, then ID: "Good Time Oldies 1450 KOKO, Ko-Ko". 400th domestic logging, and entry #414 overall in the Davenport logbook. (RD-IA)
1450 WMOH OH Hamilton - 10/9 2123 - Weak to fair with Columbus Blue Jackets HKY. Confirmed via webstream. Only 1450 shown on the 2018-19 Blue Jackets affiliate list. 352 miles, 1st Ohio graveyarder, and easily my best entry in the Davenport logbook so far in this young MW DX season. (RD-IA)
1470 KYYW TX Abilene - 10/4 0105 - Atop with ad for McGavock Nissan of Abilene, then "KYYW" ID and into Coast-To-Coast AM. (RD-IA)
1480 WJBM IL Jerseyville - 10/9 2038 - Briefly atop with ID: "...Real Country, 104.7 FM and 1480 AM, WJBM", then into Gretchen Wilson's "Redneck Woman". (RD-IA)
1480 WRSW IN Warsaw - 10/9 2047 - Weak to fair with ad for Paragon Medical in Pierceton. Heard during an attempt to nab WHBC, which remains unlogged here. (RD-IA)
1490 KTOP KS Topeka - 10/12 2219 - Fair with ad for Genesis Health Clubs in Topeka, then ment of "Kansas" in the following ad. KS #10 and 1st Kansas graveyarder in the Davenport logbook. (RD-IA)
1550 WIGN TN Bristol - 10/15 2059 - Over/under KESJ for about 5 minutes with southern bluegrass GOS music, finally rising at legal ID time (great timing!) with "AM 1550...WIGN, Bristol..." ID. TN #15. (RD-IA)
1570 WSCO WI Appleton - 10/6 2030 - Fair with only "...99-1, The Score" heard at the end of promo. Took a lot of sleuthing online, including www.topazdesigns.com/ambc<http://www.topazdesigns.com/ambc>, but finally narrowed it down to this. (RD-IA)
1630 KKGM TX Fort Worth - 10/12 2059 - Weak under KCJJ with clear "AM 1630 KKGM" ID. KCJJ was airing a HS FB game between Iowa City West High and Muscatine at the time. (RD-IA)
1630 KRND WY Fox Farm - 10/8 2145 - Weak but readable under KCJJ with clear "La Jota Mexicana!" slogan heard in liner between SS songs. KCJJ was breaking into normal AdCon/Top 40 music programming at the time with severe storm warnings in eastern Iowa, which helped. WY #1 in the Davenport logbook. (RD-IA)
UnID
680 UNID - 10/14 2232 - Someone here with the Kansas City Chiefs vs. New England Patriots NFL game, but it was the feed from Westwood One (with Omaha native Kevin Kugler on the play-by-play), and NOT the feed from the Chiefs network, so that rules out KFEQ. A check of KNBR's webstream revealed that they were carrying the ALCS baseball game between Boston's Red Sox and Houston's Astros, so that scratches KNBR as a possibility, too. Several ESPN stations are listed on 680, but I can't imagine any of them carrying a game from Westwood One, which has been managed in the past by CBS Radio. (RD-IA)
RD-IA Rick Dau DXing on the Muscatine, Iowa KiwiSDR adding to the Davenport, Iowa logbook (410 domestics, 424 loggings overall)
