[IRCA] TP 14 Sep Victoria version.
I'd concur with Nigel's "10dB less than yesterday". Still some interesting DX, but not as loud, and domestics seemed splashy this morning also.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):
594 JOAK man in Japanese various times; most consistent Japanese today
612 4QR woman DU English, man on phone 1351UT; hung in long enough for faint fanfare at 1400UT
774 JOUB Chinese lessons 1323UT
828 JOBB Chinese lessons 1323UT
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
the above passing through
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:
549 2CR woman talking //612 1342UT
666 JOBK woman talking Japanese //594
738 2NR woman talking //612 1334UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)
558 HLQH islandish instrumental 1318UT, turned out to //603 1319UT
576 2RN woman talking 1316UT //585
585 7RN as 576 above
603 HLSA presumed with pop vocal 1308UT, not parallel with anything, until HLQH faded up 1318UT
693 JOAB English lessons 1248UT //828
702 woman talking, DU English 1303UT; not able to snag a parallel
747 JOIB English lessons //828 1249UT
774 3LO woman talking //612 1324UT, way under JOUB, but all alone by 1354UT
792 man woman talking, DU English intonation 1309UT; bad splash
864 man talking Japanese intonation 1310UT
891 JOHK woman in Japanese //594 1301UT
891 man talking, DU English intonation , mixing w/JOHK 1320UT
1017 island vocal music 1301UT
1242 man and woman talking, Japanese intonation? 1338UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)
567 837 873 918 972 1053 1134 1287 1422 seemed to be Asian;
531 594 657 675 756 846 936 1008 1026 1098 1116 1503 1548 seemed to be DU
best wishes,
Nick
