[IRCA] TP 3 Sep Victoria version.

A greater tilt towards DU this morning, with a lot of domestic splash, and erratic changes in signal strength

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

702 2BL man and woman talking //612 1315UT

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

774 3LO man talking with woman on phone 1237UT, well over JOUB

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

594 3WV fanfare, ABC news 1300UT

612 4QR fanfare, ABC news 1300UT

603 R. Waatea island vocals //765 1313UT

675 RNZ National woman talking // a weaker 756 1323UT

756 RNZ National man talking DU English 1233UT; ID'd later when weaker by //675

828 JOBB English lessons 1246UT

1566 HLAZ Japanese program sign on 1231UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

567 4JK fanfare and news 1300UT; a rare visitor here

621 3RN ABC fanfare at 1200 and at 1300UT

657 soft music in a brief break in the splatter 1317UT; Star?

747 JOIB English lessons 1229UT //774

765 R. Kahungunuu, island vocal //603 1313UT

774 JOUB English lessons 1229UT o/3LO

846 2RN man talking //621 1252UT

855 man talking, DU English intonation, sounded similar to 594 and 702, but couldn't set up a parallel

972 man talking, Korean intonation 1231UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

594 693 1242  1287  1422 1575  seemed to be Asian;
531 585 729 792 891 909 963 1017 1098 1503 1548 seemed to be DU

best wishes,

Nick
