[IRCA] TP 14 Aug Victoria version.
Another morning of domestic splash, Asian earlier, some DU later
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):
not today
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
774 JOUB 1217UT English lessons among evil splatter
972 HLCA man in Korean 1232UT
1566 HLAZ, not much during Chinese program, and even the Japanese program started weak, but faded up to this level with FEBC mention 1231UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:
594 man talking DU English //702 1251UT
747 JOIB man in Japanese //774 1139UT
828 JOBB woman in Japanese 1153UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)
576 2RN woman DU English? //585 1252UT
585 7RN as above
612 man talking DU English? almost certainly 4QR 1235UT
702 2BL man talking, //594 1251UT
738 man talking, possibly Korean??? 1155UT
891 man talking DU English intonation, woman on phone 1309UT
1287 man talking, Japanese intonation 1138UT
1323 woman talking, maybe Russian, musical interlude, followed by man talking 1132UT; CRI?
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)
594 891 945 1035 1242 1575 seemed to be Asian;
567 675 1017 1098 1503 1548 seemed to be DU
best wishes,
Nick
