The new portable does have Longwave coverage from 150-450 kHz, although with the MW-oriented loopstick you may need to be next door to an NDB to benefit from it. There is a very effective 7.5" Longwave loopstick that was developed for the Tecsun PL-380 model that should work great in the D-808, though, with the related technical article posted at http://www.mediafire.com/file/845snah2h4ek9z9/7.5inLWLS.doc/file
With the enhanced Longwave loopstick, SSB capability and multiple DSP filtering options, the model could well become the traveling portable of choice for NDB-DXers.
