[IRCA] Kiwi Sunset Skip-- 200 watts at 3,136 km

1440-Kiribati has some wacky competition in the Cook Islands-- the 200 watt Maori station 1440-Te Reo O Tauranga Moana in Tauranga, New Zealand (at 3,136 km/ 1,949 miles). Thanks to Maori Master Theo for identifying the language in this sunset skip MP3, as the ultra-low power Kiwi station gives Kiribati a serious run for its money starting at 50 seconds into the recording https://dreamcrafts.box.com/s/jmj2trwnryypvi017or8fekrpe6dk47d

Kiwi stations seemed to have a special edge over others on Aitutaki, with the 5+1 pips from 630-RNZ in Hawkes Bay easily audible under 630-Radio Cook Islands (164 miles south, in Rarotonga) four minutes after its sign on at 1556
