[IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 3-14

Korean propagation on the low band was exceptional this morning prior to daybreak, with 603-HLSA and 657-Pyongyang both well above average in strength. 558-HLQH also had one of its best sessions lately, and 972-HLCA was managing S9 peaks for about 4 hours (from 1000-1400). By contrast the Chinese stations were somewhat weaker than yesterday, with 603-China under HLSA all session, and 738-BEL2 sounding pretty anemic.

At 1000 a band check revealed 972-HLCA at S9, with 657-Pyongyang in and out with S7 peaks. A digital recorder was set up on 657 to record for a couple of hours at that time, and all kinds of weird music and shouting was recorded. Live DXing resumed at 1300 here, with Pyongyang BS cooperating nicely for 3+1 pips at 1330, and 603-HLSA cooperating for a TOH routine (now with one single time pip, only) at 1400. As usual the Japanese were pounding in on 594, 693 and 747, with 774 and 828 in and out with decent signals. The overall stars of the session were 657 and 972, though, both with extended, powerful signals for four hours prior to daybreak.

657 Pyongyang BS Pyongyang, N. Korea S9 Martial music and 3+1 pips at the North Korean "TOH" of 1330 https://dreamcrafts.box.com/s/fyihl474qlr2dubo360zb37m6kdstbj4
