Here's why KKOL is off the air:
Bruce,
We have shut down both our KKOL transmitter site and our webpage so we could move the radio station transmitter and towers to Bainbridge Island, from the Port of Tacoma.
We should be off-air for 3 - 4 months, then the station should be back on-air.

KKOL-1300 in Seattle is silent at the moment. From what I've been told,
it's been that way for 3-4 days.
Interestingly, their website kkol.com says "Are you missing your
favorite business talk hosts? Tune in to AM1590 THE ANSWER to hearâ"
followed by a hastily assembled program schedule. Checking 1590 just
now, KKOL's sister station KLFE is indeed carrying KKOL's business news
programming instead of the usual conservative talk.
KCMY Carson City is currently dominating 1300 with KKOL off.
