Re: [IRCA] TP DX in Seattle on 22 Feb
Gabriola is usually quite poor for Down Under
reception, but this morning low band DU's
dominated the usual big gun low band Japanese,
which recovered briefly around local sunrise.
Odd in that last night, there were signs of TAs,
including a bit of weak audio on 1215, but there
was not the usual fade in from 747 and 774 at
Japanese sunset, as if high latitude conditions favored only one direction.
best wishes,
Nick

Weird here in Grayland too Bruce. Difference
being that the morning ended with oddly good
Aussie reception. Heard the ABC news theme on
837 @ 1700! Kind of unusual, no?
Not sure what else is on the wav files but I suspect more of the same.
Asian reception was quite unremarkable.
I think Nick had similar conditions up in Gabriola.

dozen Japanese/Korean powerhouses with below

around 1330 they all gradually faded into the
noise and never returned. I guess that would
be the exact opposite of a sunrise enhancement, whatever you care to call it.
