[IRCA] TP 31 Jan Victoria version

Not a lot of audio this morning, but lots of carriers

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

774 JOUB peak at 1457UT with woman singing followed by woman in Japanese
1566 HLAZ female vocal 1552UT; earlier and later, there was Chinese talk, but at weaker level. Although quite readable after 1600UT (along with CNR1-1593), did not last very ong

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

594 JOAK peak at 1555UT man in Japanese
1593 CNR1 peaking at 1536UT, CNR1 news sounder, and man in Chinese; also 1556UT man in Chinese //6125

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

the above passing through

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

693 JOAB woman singing //774 1457UT
774 3LO assumed 1445UT; see 3GI below
828 3GI assumed; another man talking quickly took over from JOBB below, and was //774 where 3LO took over from JOUB; 1444-45UT
828 JOBB man talking //774 which was stronger, with man in Portuguese 1442-3UT
891 man talking, DU English intonation 1445UT
972 woman talking, possibly Korean? 1555UT
1422 man mumbling 1528UT, couldn't guess language in splash, though seemed more Japanese than Chinese

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter) 603 666 909 918 981 1044 10981134 1143 1179 1206 1242 1278 1313 1323 1332 1359 1386 1494 1503 1557 1575 seemed to be Asian;
 612 702 738 756 846 891 1017 1098 1116 seemed to be DU

best wishes,

Nick
