[IRCA] TP 30 Jan Victoria version

Quite a fall back in quantity and quality this morning. However, HLAZ was still delivering some audio before 1700UT, well over an hour after local sunrise.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

774 JOUB "NHK radio" mention by woman 1440UT; also peaked very nicely during s/off anthem at 1500UT

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

1566 HLAZ woman in Chinese 1535UT, kept cooking fairly nicely until about 1620UT, then reappearances at 1636 and 1655UT with man in Russian.

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

972 HLCA man and woman in Korean 1501UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

558 HLQH pretty marginal, but ballad //603 1446UT
567 JOIK creeping through splatter with man talking 1506UT //594
594 JOAK never really got above this level; ID'd //567 above
603 HLSA ballad 1446UT //558, and somewhat clearer due to lack of splatter
747 JOIB man and woman //774 1454UT
828 JOBB woman //774 1455UT; a better strength carrier than this noted several times after audio stopped at 1505UT
1593 CNR1 man talking //6125 1536UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

639 873 1134 1575   seemed to be Asian;
 738 837 846 891 1017 1098 1503 seemed to be DU

best wishes,

Nick
