[IRCA] TP 28Jan Victoria version
Although there were a couple of fairly good peaks and quite a few
carriers, generally conditions weren't too hot at this location...
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
594 JOAK woman in Japanese 1514UT
774 JOUB briefly at this level with English lessons 1427UT, but
mostly only fair to poor otherwise. Another peak 1509UT, signed off
1520UT, and sometimes quite a strong carrier after that
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
972 HLCA ballad, then man in Korean 1514UT, brief peak, and another
one at 1531UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
603 HLSA deep voiced man in Korean 1528UT
612 4QR woman mentioning ABC , fanfare, then man with ABC news
747 JOIB music box s/off 1521UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
693 JOAB music box sneaking past CBU splash 1504UT
756 man talking, DU English intonation
828 JOBB man and woman //774 1428UT
873 JOGB s/off music box 1522UT
891 JOHK woman talking //594 1514UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
567 639 855 864 909 918 963 1098 1143 1206 1323 1458 1503 1575
seemed to be Asian;
675 702 855 1017 1116 seemed to be DU
best wishes,
Nick
