[IRCA] TP 25 Jan Victoria version
Again, there seemed to be quite a lot of signals before 1330UT, but
by the time I started monitoring an hour later, things had faded to
mostly big guns, but still quite a bit better than yesterday. Again,
NHK2 signed off at 1500UT. Not much post-sunrise life this morning.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
594 JOAK woman in Japanese 1535UT
774 JOUB Portuguese lessons 1443UT
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
the above passing through
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
693 JOAB Portuguese lessons //774 1450UT
747 JOIB man in Japanese //774 1441UT
972 HLCA woman in Korean, then music 1504UT
1566 HLAZ woman in Chinese 1535UT
1593 CNR1 man in Chinese 1542 and 1556UT; ID'd when weaker //6125 1537UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
567 JOIK woman talking //594 1532UT
603 pop ballad 1443UT, better on north Flag; at least one other
station there too?
639 woman talking, Chinese intonation 1506UT
1242 JOLF deep voiced man talking, cuckoo pips at 1600UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
828 891 954 1134 1287 1323 1386 1422 seemed to be Asian;
612 738 846 891 1017 1098 seemed to be DU
best wishes,
